ARPUS/ce, Version 2.6.2 (03/10/05) (SCCS 1.7)

wc [-a | -q | -s | -w | -y ]
"window close"
DESCRIPTION:
'wc' is used to close an edit or ceterm window. The action taken
depends on any options used as well as whether changes have been
made since the file was last updated to disk and whether the
shell in a ceterm has been exited. Only 1 option may be present.
If no options are specified in an edit window, wc will
save the file and exit the window. If the window is a
ceterm window, an error message will be generated
specifying that the shell has not been closed and the
pad is still active.
-a Turns on autoclose for a ceterm window. If autoclose
is on, the window automatically closes when the
shell terminates.
-q If the file is either in read-only mode or has not
been changed since it was last updated to disk (via
'pw' or the autosave function), the file and window
are closed. If the file has been changed since last
updated to disk, wc prompts you with "File modified;
okay to quit? ". If you respond "y" or "yes", wc
closes the file WITHOUT keeping changes made since the
last update to disk, and the window is closed. If
instead you respond "n" or "no", the wc command is
canceled.
-s Turns off autoclose for a ceterm window. If autoclose
is off, the window reverts to an edit window when
the shell terminates.
-y If you use "-y" and the file has been changed since
last updated to disk, wc will not prompt you with
"File modified; okay to quit?" but will instead act as
if it did present the prompt and you answered yes.
That is, the file is exited without saving the data.
-f This option tells wc to update the file to disk first
if any changes have been made since the last update.
This command is equivalent to the command sequence
"pw;wc", which is the default definition for the F8
key. In a ceterm window, the shell is terminated and
the window is closed. With the -f option, all 'cc'
windows for the file are closed.
-w This option is similar to -f in that it saves the file
contents via pw if any changes are made but it does not
save the last window's position and color combination.
The window manager pulldown which closes a window
causes ce to use -w. With -w, only the current window
is affected, 'cc' windows are not closed. In a ceterm
window, the shell is terminated.
