    re <pat>
    "regular expression translator"
    
    DESCRIPTION:
        This  commands  treats <pat> as an AEGIS regular expression, translates
        it to an equivalent UNIX regular expression, and shows  the  translated
        expression in the output message window. 
        
        re  is  not dependent on the regular expression mode setting;  <pat> is
        always treated as an AEGIS regular expression.

        If  re  is entered with no parameters, the current  regular  expression
        mode is displayed in the output message window.
